Just a silly girl trying to live a healthier life. I love to cook, craft, garden, read, travel and spend time with my wonderful husband.

The sun is starting to rise a lot earlier now, which makes me very happy. I swear I’ve had a serious vitamin D defficiency all winter from going to school when it’s dark and leaving when it’s dark. I actually saw a rainbow the other day, on the bus as we were crossing the university bridge and i had to contain my joy so wouldn’t weird out the other riders. I’m going to try and study via natural light as much as possible in the next few days, I usually feel more productive and i get much more work done.

The baby picutre posted below this is Atli, my friends’ Jenni and Jason’s baby. They were staying at our house for a few days before they moved into their new apartment and he is so damn entertaining, not to mention cute! I babysat a little bit and hung out with him as much as I could, which scared Ryan a little. Atli really liked him but the idea of “babies” kind of terrifies him still. To be fair I was a little mean, on sunday morning he was still sleeping at about 11 am and I was holding Atli while Jenni was doing something. I decided to wake him up using the baby so I went into our room, got onto the bed and let Atli do his thing. ie: crawling/drooling all over Ryan. Ryan wasn’t impressed but couldnt help laugh because of how adorable the baby is. It was pretty damn funny.

The next week will be filled with essay writing and studying for my computer science test, after which we are heading to edmonton to visit my parents during the midterm break. IKEA here we come!! I’ve also started to think about my garden for the spring, allthough i’m worried i won’y be around enough to tend it, I’d like to simplify it this year and add even more flowers. I’m sick of winter! I miss green grass and flowers and sunny weather. Bring on the big thaw!
