Off to Africa.

The past few days have been…interesting. I’ve been ridiculously sick, probably a combination of food intolerance and stress but my digestive system pretty much said “I quit!” and it’s been hellish to say the least. I’m slowly getting better though, being very careful about what I eat and drink. Today’s lunch is white rice with steamed spinach and a bit of coconut oil mixed in, and Ryan’s off to get me some gatorade because my electrolytes are probably very very low.

I feel pretty much prepared to leave. My parents came by this weekend and took me shopping (when I wasn’t feeling terrible) as a belated birthday gift, so I got all the supplies and extra stuff I need. Which means I’m set! all I need to do is pack, make sure I have snacks my stomach can tolerate and then I’m off.

I have a feeling I’ll lose a few followers during my absence, I’ve already lost a couple since I haven’t been posting much, but I’m not too worried about it. This blog has been so helpful to me in my health journey, I think I would be OK even if I had only 2 followers. I’m so happy to have a place to vent and share my failures and successes and keep me accountable. And interacting with all the wonderful health and fitness/food Tumblies (Tumblr+Lovelies) has been a welcome side effect!

I hope everyone has an amazing month, reaching your goals and kicking ass. I’ll try to keep up with my dashboard as much as I can and post a little bit but in the meantime…

See you in June!
