Outside the Box Challenge #1 The Frontier Girl/Boy Test

Ryan and I decided to make homemade pasta and sauce for dinner tonight. Something we eat a lot but have never done from scratch. These photos chronicle the process, pretty self explanatory.

We just used the basic pasta recipe, 1 egg to every cup of flour with a little salt and water. We used whole wheat flour to try and make it a little healthier.

The sauce was simply tomatoes, lots of garlic, dried basil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and feta cheese. It was very tasty!

The pasta turned out alright. We didn’t roll it out thin enough so it was pretty chewy but it tasted fine and we decided it was a good prototype for next time. (We also think we might invest in the pasta roller attachment for our kitchen aid mixer)
